Author of Mission Impact Lab

Danielle (Dani) VanZorn is a nonprofit operations strategist with over two decades of experience building resilient, equity-centered systems for mission-driven organizations. She has led complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives across philanthropy, public health, child welfare, and aging services, developing operational models that bring clarity, reduce friction, and support sustainable impact under pressure.

Dani wrote Mission Impact Lab to help nonprofit leaders strengthen internal infrastructure, improve efficiency, and navigate growing demands with limited resources. The book draws on her firsthand experience and distills hard-earned insights into actionable frameworks nonprofit teams can apply immediately, regardless of size or budget.

A recognized leader in remote operations and infrastructure design, Dani has served as COO, Executive Director, and founding partner across national initiatives and service firms supporting nonprofits and public agencies. Her work has consistently focused on building the kind of behind-the-scenes systems that enhance mission execution, operational reliability, and strategic alignment with funders.

Her next book, Remote Operations Uncovered: The Essentials No One Told You—And How to Get It Right, is scheduled for release in late 2025.

Why MiLab?

Because nonprofits face a challenging reality: funders often discourage spending on overhead—even though strong operations are essential to mission success.

MiLab was created to address this gap.
